Munro has once again shown his class and scored 90 runs in just 56 balls with the help of 10 boundaries and 4 huge sixes. Munro became the man of the match by scoring this fifty for the 3rd time in a row.
What a comprehensive victory for TKR. A margin of 67 runs is massive in a T20 game. 171 was definitely Chasable, but the TKR Bowlers came out with a lot of energy and took four wickets inside the power play. Guyana was always playing catch up. The hosts had enough variety in the bowling to stop the visitors. Pierre, Bravo, Fawad, Narine all took place off the ball to trouble them. Ali Khan was once again impressive with his pace.
Colin Munro in the post-match presentation:
Good to get a bit of confidence that you have done well against an opposition talking about his run against Guyana. They bowled in my areas and I was lucky enough tonight. I don’t take much of risks against the wrists spinners, I know I can make up against the other Bowlers. It’s nice Bat up the order when the ball is hard and new.
So TKR is placed at the top, while Guyana is third. Emrit and Co. have a few games left to catch up though. Both teams have advanced to the next round, but finishing in the top two gives teams the extra chance of making it to the final.
