Scrap filter sports: Sarah Taylor ruled out of women WT20 Tournament
Sarah Taylor, wicketkeeper of England women cricket team will miss the rest of the cricketing season due to a relapse of anxiety. It also rules her out of the Women’s WT20 tournament slated to take place in the Caribbean in November.
In the previous edition of World T20, she had scored only 49 runs in five games and she also had undergone cognitive behavioral therapy to get rid of her issues related to anxiety.
She performed well in the Women’s Cricket Super League for the Surrey Stars. She also powered England women to win their 3 match series against South Africa women with an impressive century at Hove.
She is known as the best in the International women cricket. Her skills are excellent in case of both batting and wicket keeping. It is worth mentioning that England Women won the title last in 2009 and would look to emulate the feat again. Amy Jones in all likelihood will slot in to fill Taylor’s spot.
England women team’s coach, Mark Robinson said that “You wouldn’t risk a player if you felt that playing them with an injury would increase the chances of them being out for a long time or the issue even becoming career-threatening.
