Team India won the 3rd T20 international against Australia and leveled the series by 1-1. India preserves their unbeaten run which now stands at 9 T20I series. It could’ve been better if not for the Melbourne rain, but that’s how it goes. Both teams shared the trophy. Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya pleased with their fabulous comeback after Brisbane match failure.

Virat played a responsible inning against Australia and finished the match with his elegant batting performance. Krunal makes an exceptional comeback as an all-rounder and picked up 4 important wickets for his team.

Kohli back at his favorite No. 3 slot, and back to finishing run-chases for India. He runs down the pitch with his arms aloft which makes for some good slo-mo celebration replays. Dinesh Kartik also played few quality shots and entertained the crowd with sixes.

Things got a lot closer than one would’ve thought after Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma had that blistering opening stand, as India’s concerns with their middle order painfully announced their lingering presence again. Nevertheless, they had their captain to bail them out along with Dinesh Karthik towards the end.

Whatever you think makes a typical Kohli inning, it was all there: those quickly run twos, the delightful flick shots, and probably the highlight – the lofted drive down the ground off Tye. The match was of course set up by India’s spinners who stood out in limiting Australia to a gettable score on a slow pitch.

Australia started quite well with the responsible opening partnership of Short and Finch. They added 68 runs for the first wicket but then Krunal ruined their partnership and took back to back wickets in his 2nd over. Still, Australia’s lower middle order managed to take the score to 164 for 6 wickets. Carey and Stoinis played responsibly.

Krunal Pandya who took four wickets gets the Man of the Match.
